Jenny has been singing since the age of ten as a public performer. She has sung from a very early age for fun with her father, who is a musician and song writer. Jenny entered and won the CBBC TV Talent Show - 'Steps To The Stars', performing a song written by her dad - 'Angel With A Dirty Face'. At 12, she was one of the youngest performers and the only one from the South West. Jenny was presented with the winner's trophy on 'Live and Kicking' and gave a live performance of her song, which was described as "amazing" by presenter Steve Watson. 'Sting' also predicted that Jenny was a definite "star of the future". Since winning 'Steps to the Stars', Jenny has appeared at several impressive venues, including; The Millennium Dome, Theme Parks, Butlins, Theatres, Shopping Malls, etc. She has also done several Radio and Television interviews. Jenny recorded and launched her debut Album - 'Angel With A Dirty Face' in October 2000. The album features ballads, pop and country and she performs several original songs written by her dad. Also included is a song she co-wrote with her dad called 'Scoot Your Boot'. Jenny also choreographed a dance to the song. Jenny is very proud to have had tuition from a dear friend and brilliant Tenor - John Easton, winner of Granada Television's 'This Is My Moment'. Together they performed a wonderful version of 'The Prayer', a duet originally recorded by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. Jenny and John's version is also featured on Jenny's debut album - check out the link above to hear a free sample. John Easton was taken seriously ill soon after the CD album was released and sadly never recovered. John's unexpected departure was a great loss to everyone, not least Jenny and everyone involved with the production of the album. He will always be remembered with the fondest of memories and for adding so much colour to all our lives, in so many ways. Although Jenny's voice lends itself so well to Country, she also enjoys singing in many other genres of music, including; Pop, Rock and Soul. Jenny's whole family are behind her all the way, each contributing their own particular skill. Jenny has co-written a number of songs with her dad and they find they have a creative bond, which comes to the fore when they are working together in her dad's studio. 2002 Jenny, now aged 15, has been successful in reaching the finals of the Carlton Performance Challenge. Winning through from five hundred other hopefuls, Jenny is one of only 16 acts to get through to the finals which are to be held at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter on Saturday 29 June at 7.30pm. GOOD LUCK JENNY !!! Jenny is very fortunate in that she has had a wonderful group of professional people who have given their time freely to help her in her ambition to become a professional singer . . . All because they believe in her . . . The biggest compliment that can be given to one so young. Jenny would like to say a VERY BIG "THANK YOU" to everyone who has given their time and help so freely and also to her fans for their support and encouragement. This has all meant so much to her. She was genuinely surprised with the amazing number of votes she received on 'Steps To The Stars' and also the letters from fans across the Country. Thanks Again ...................... |
